Police officers investigate a domestic violence shooting in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Police officers responded to a domestic violence shooting on Sunday in Fort Lauderdale.

A man and a woman who are married were arguing at a home along Carolina Avenue, near Delaware Avenue in the Melorse Park neighborhood, police said.

Police officers identified the shooter as another man at the scene and detained him, according to Detective Ali Adamson, a spokeswoman for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.

“No one was injured during this shooting,” Adamson wrote in a statement. “The investigation remains ongoing.”

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 to remain anonymous.
