On Tuesday night, their opponent was clinched.
The Panthers will play at the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round.
The Panthers beat the Lightning last season on their way to the first Cup in franchise history.
The state rivals have met several times before in the Playoffs.
The Florida showdown was clinched by a win by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Toronto won the Atlantic division.
