Yuniesky Ramirez-Martinez was tasked with protecting the teenagers as both a part-time security monitor and a volleyball coach, but he sexually exploited them instead, according to the Doral Police Department.

Ramirez-Martinez, then 37, encouraged two 16-year-old students to have sex in a classroom, secretly filmed them, and used the video to sexually harass one of them, according to detectives and prosecutors.

“I saw what you were doing to him and I liked it,” Ramirez-Martinez said, according to a witness whose recording of the account to detectives played in court.

After about an hour and 30 minutes of deliberations, jurors found Ramirez-Martinez, now 39, guilty of offenses against students by an authority figure, two counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child, and video voyeurism in a school.

During the trial, the jurors also saw surveillance video of Ramirez-Martinez at the charter school. One video showed him sitting down and looking into a room through a window.

The jury found Ramirez-Martinez not guilty of solicitation of a minor for unlawful sexual conduct, lewd and lascivious touching of certain minors, and distributing obscene material to a minor.

Ramirez-Martinez’s sentencing is at 9 a.m., on Aug. 20.
