HOMESTEAD, Fla. — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a Missing Child Alert Tuesday morning for a boy and girl from southwest Miami-Dade. They were found later in the afternoon.
According to the FDLE, Devin Mitchell Jr., 10, and Ivy Mitchell, 6, had been missing since Monday from the 12800 block of Southwest 242nd Street.
Police did not immediately say whether they believe the children left home on their own.
Deputies didn’t say where the children were located.
Editor’s note: This story misidentified the location the children went missing from as “Homestead.” While it carries a Homestead address, it is in unincorporated Miami-Dade.
