FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — An arrest has been made after a young woman was killed outside an Airbnb in Fort Lauderdale, police confirmed Monday morning.
It was back in late May when 19-year-old Myrah Zeigler was found by first responders at around 4:30 a.m. after reports of gunfire.
She was staying at an Airbnb when police said a party spiraled into chaos.
Rescue crews rushed Zeigler to a nearby hospital, where she would be pronounced dead.

Police confirmed Monday that Larry Smith, 19, was arrested Sunday in connection with the case during a traffic stop.
Police said he had an active warrant for his arrest on a second-degree murder charge.
Nearly seven weeks after the shooting, Zeigler’s family says they are ready to see their daughter’s killer brought to justice.
“I’m happy that they got him, but this still just don’t bring my child back,” said Alacia Ford-Barron, Zeigler’s mother. “You took a beautiful soul from me. You took my daughter, you took my first love. That was my first love. That was my twin.”
As of Monday, Smith was being held at the Broward Main Jail without bond.
