MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A man and a woman died after a shooting on Saturday afternoon at a house in southwestern Miami-Dade County, according to deputies.
Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded to a report of a man bleeding at a house in the Richmond West neighborhood.
“They located an adult male and an adult female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds,” Detective Samantha Choon wrote in a statement.
Fire rescue personnel pronounced both the man and the woman dead at the house along Southwest 153 Court, between 170 Terrace and 169 Lane, according to Choon, a spokeswoman for the M-DSO.
Homicide detectives also responded to the house, and the investigation remained active and ongoing into the evening hours.
Neighbor Angela Aybar told Local 10 News she was devastated by the news.
“We’re just praying for that family,” she said. “We’re hoping that they can get through this. Especially through the holidays.”
